Wild and Scary Things a Public Adjuster Sees

There is one thing that the life of a public adjuster is not, and that is boring. You never know what the next day or even the next moment may bring. Being a public adjuster is custom-made for the person who demands a challenge, and loves nothing better than to experience new things.

Since it is Friday and we are back from the massive energy and goodwill of the IMG Expo New Orleans 2018, Noble Public Adjusting Group decided it was the perfect day to have a little fun. A great way to do that is by sharing with our readers some of the wild and scary things we as a public adjuster see.

When a public adjuster gets a phone call from a potential client with a home loss claim, the first thing we do is head out to observe the damage. So home inspection is a major part of our job description. This article, courtesy of Popular Mechanics, titled 23 Totally Cringe-worthy Home Inspection Nightmares, list 23 images and short explanations of some crazy and often dangerous things that homeowners and/or contractors do that a public adjuster might see during a home inspection. We have listed a few of our favorites below. Be ready for some shockers and a few good laughs.

And last but certainly not least, one of our very favorites. We will give a paltry attempt to imagine the thought process of the person who did this, and the conversation they had with their co-worker, “Mmmhh, never heard of water and electricity not peacefully co-mingling, have you?

Now wasn’t that fun? You can see all of the wild and scary things a public adjuster might see by following the link to the full Popular Mechanics article at the beginning of this blog post. We hope all of our blog readers have a wonderful weekend. If you have a home loss claim, call us today at (850) 249-6972. One of our licensed public adjusters from Noble Public Adjusting Group is ready to come out and see what damage you have, but we hope we don’t find any of the kinds of things we have shown here. However, we will try our best not to judge, (snicker, snicker.)
